6th Ave. Corridor Study
More than just a roadway, the 6th Avenue Corridor is a vital link through Stillwater and serves as a connection between various sections of the community. The corridor study will examine how best to develop better north/south connections and maximize human scale development in areas adjacent to 6th Avenue.

In town, design it more like a local main street and less like a highway.

Healthy lunch options downtown: Salada, Coolgreens, or similar type of Sandwich Deli. Something quick to take back to office or eat outside in common area.

Take parking out on most of main st and incentivize businesses to make outdoor sitting. City can make gathering areas to promote outdoor activities and engagement. Make unused spaces off downtown as parking.
0 comment0engineerbradabout 2 years agoLooped Paths to Destinations
Car paths are clearer than the walk/bike/jog paths. When your in a car it is more go to a single place and back. If people had a clear and easy loop that took them along Western/9th to downtown then up to Boomer Lake and back down toward then we might entice people to go on adventures. These adventures may lead them to stop at multiple places. Its neat to add parks hear and there but it wasteful to drive to 1 park. It much better to start walking from one place to another and stopping for coffee and play along the way. Need to ensure all the points of interest along this corridor have a clear connection. Otherwise we will be asking ourselves why visitation is low and what we do about parking.
